Relational Mapping

THE WORKFLOW
01
EXHASTIVE RESEARCH
Every Relational Mapping engagement begins with exhaustive research into the publicly verifiable portion of a HUB's first-degree network. This includes corporate and philanthropic boards, club memberships, documented business relationships, shared investments, and other credible public evidence of connection. The goal is to surface every likely connection supported by credible public evidence.
02
FINANCIAL CONTEXT
Financially Qualify the Network
After exhaustively surfacing the publicly verifiable connections in a HUB's network, WealthQuotient financially qualifies and categorizes those connections into four tiers: Billionaire, ultra-high-net-worth ($30M+ net worth), high-net-worth ($5M+ net worth), and mass affluent. This adds important financial context to the map while recognizing that wealth alone does not determine relevance. A connection may also be valuable as a pathway into a company, organization, another relationship, or for reasons specific to the client's objectives.
03
RELATIONAL CONTEXT
Assess Likely Relationship Strength
WealthQuotient then provides a best-judgment assessment of the likely strength of each relationship based on publicly available evidence and a defined set of common-sense rules and assumptions. This assessment reflects what the evidence suggests, not a claim of certainty about how close two people actually are. Ultimately, the HUB is the only person who can confirm the actual strength of the relationship.
04
CLIENT RELEVANCE
Apply the Client's Key Driver
Each engagement includes a specific key driver provided by the client: a philanthropic focus, an industry, a geographic priority, a known affinity, or another criterion relevant to the client's objectives. The key driver helps highlight the individuals most relevant to the client's objectives without replacing the practitioner's own judgment about who they genuinely want to pursue.
05
PRACTITIONER JUDGMENT
Practitioner Selects the Prospects
The practitioner reviews the map, considers the financial qualification, likely relationship strength, and key-driver relevance of the connections, and identifies the specific people they genuinely want to meet. Those names become informed starting points for specific referral conversations rather than open-ended asks.
02
THE CONVERSATION
The value of Relational Mapping is not the number of names it surfaces. It is the specificity those names bring to the referral conversation. Rather than asking a HUB to do the hard work of figuring out who in their network might be relevant, practitioners can come prepared with specific people they genuinely want to meet, making it easier for the HUB to help.
Mapping informs and supports the referral conversation. Skillfully navigating that conversation, with the intelligence as support, is what turns opportunity into introductions.
Mapping informs the conversation. It does not replace it.

THE DELIVERABLE
Relational Mapping is delivered through the WealthQuotient Dashboard, where practitioners can explore each HUB's mapped network and the relationship intelligence behind each connection, including the nature and context of the relationship, financial qualification, WealthQuotient's assessment of likely relationship strength, and relevance to the client's key driver. Practitioners then identify the specific people they genuinely want to pursue as Targeted Prospects.
The Dashboard also tracks each Targeted Prospect through the referral journey, giving practitioners and teams visibility not only into the opportunity surrounding their HUBs, but into how they are acting on that intelligence and moving specific prospects toward actual introductions and meetings.
The Dashboard tracks and supports the referral journey. It does not drive it.
